Reed Dickens

CEO

A former White House Assistant Press Secretary, Dickens most recently led an investment group working with some of the hottest brands in the entertainment industry. In 2005, Dickens founded a brand strategy and crisis management firm, Outside Eyes, in Newport Beach, California, that served as a strategic advisor to many high-profile corporate, entertainment, and sports clients, such as Merrill Lynch, Disney, the Philadelphia Eagles, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Alex Rodriguez, and the Jonas Brothers.

Kurt Ainsworth

Co-Founder and Director of Product Development

A former LSU All-American baseball player and one of the original co-founders of Marucci Bat company, Ainsworth oversees wood bat operations for major league teams and product development. Ainsworth was a first-round draft pick of the San Francisco Giants and a starting pitcher for both the Giants and the Baltimore Orioles in the Major Leagues. Ainsworth helped Team USA win a Gold Medal at the 2000 Olympic Games. Ainsworth will be overseeing product development and wood bat operations.

Joe Lawrence

Co-Founder and Director of Baseball Operations

A former high school USA Today All-American first-round pick, Joe played in the Major Leagues for the Toronto Blue Jays. After spending eight years in professional baseball, he returned home to LSU to play football. Lawrence, an original co-founder of Marucci Bats, will focus on Marucci's youth tournament platform and serve as a liaison with the Marucci Player Advisory Board. Lawrence is a former high school USA Today All-American and understands the needs of today's highly sophisticated young players.

Jack Marucci

Co-Founder and Senior Advisor

Jack Marucci began hand-crafting wooden baseball bats for his son from a workshop in his backyard. He has dozens of Major Leaguers to his credit, including 2008-2009 NL MVP Albert Pujols, All-Star’s David Wright, Chase Utley, Brad Hawpe and the 2006 NL MVP and home run champion Ryan Howard. Marucci designs Major League bats and serves as a senior advisor to the bat operation.

Angela Deas

Chief Operating Officer

Angela Deas will be responsible for operations and financial controls for the company. Before joining Marucci, Deas worked as the CFO for an asset management firm in Mexico that grew from one office with 25 employees and USD $2 million of investment, to 13 offices with over 400 employees and USD $230 million of investment. During this period of growth, she managed systems development and implementation, process improvement, financial controls and modeling, as well as internal and external reporting. She earned her undergraduate degree Summa Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University and was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship in 2002.
